Plays for the sunrise

NAYARA is a Brazilian-born DJ based in Toronto, forged in Tulum — trained and first put on stage by the Tulum DJ Academy, playing beach clubs, rooftops and cenote parties before bringing that energy north. Her sound moves through house, tech house, afro house and melodic techno, laced with Brazilian percussion and built to keep a floor moving from golden hour to the last 4am strobe.

In Toronto she has become a regular face across the house and techno community — closing for Matthias Meyer at STORY Toronto, warehouse and sunrise sets, open-air raves at Cherry Beach — plus a hometown debut on Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro. Wherever the booth is, she plays with a single goal: every person who hears her play leaves happier than they arrived. Bright. Excited. Happy. Never moody for the sake of moody.
